START IN CLOSER
When the world seems to be moving away from you and becoming more distant, like the tide running out to sea, start in closer. When you find yourself waking up one day and thinking, where did this come from? How did I get here? Whose life is this and are these really my people? Start in closer. When you have a decision to make and you don't know where to start, start in closer.
Start in closer to the place in your body where you know yourself best. To the place where the little voice whispers, I am here, I have needs, I have dreams. Start in closer. Start from the core, from the heart, from the gut, from the internal, from the centre. To loosen, to lift, to breath, start in closer.
Some rituals exist to bring us closer to ourselves, leading us to embrace our inner call again. Like writing, taking time to care for our bodies, making endless pots of loose-leaf tea, sitting in silence, repetitive gestures like when gardening, lighting a candle first thing in the morning or floating, suspended in an open body of water. All these things can help to move us closer, to the place where we can begin again, from our core, with intent, with joy and with confidence.
Rather than layering and adding, embody a process of self-care that brings you back to simplicity and clarity. Slow down and listen to your inner voice, start in closer.
